Alleged area theft crimes lead to man’s arrest in Minnesota

On Behalf of | Jul 2, 2015 | Criminal Defense

Individuals facing serious criminal charges may not always know how to immediately handle the situation. Luckily, accused parties can gather information regarding the charges leveled against them and discuss their situation with legal counsel. By doing so, individuals may be better able to create a meaningful criminal defense against theft charges or other allegations.

It was recently reported that one man in Minnesota was taken into custody. Reports indicated that officers had been acting on warrants relating to a string of burglaries in the area. Three residences were affected by the warrants, and each location was purportedly visited at the same time. An individual who was reportedly already in custody in another county had apparently given information regarding the burglaries.

The situation led to one man being arrested. He is facing charges for being in possession of a firearm, though he did not have clearance to possess such a weapon, and possession of stolen property. There are also other suspects being considered in relation to the situation, but at the time of the report, the man was the only person taken into custody. An investigation is still open.

As the man’s legal situation moves forward, he may wish to ensure that he understands his options. By gaining knowledge relating to Minnesota criminal proceedings regarding theft and the allegations that he faces, he may be able to better prepare and feel more comfortable in making important decisions. Additionally, assessing the circumstances and discussing the process with his legal counsel may also prove beneficial.
