Minnesota man facing DUI charges after reported crash

On Behalf of | Jul 28, 2015 | Drunk Driving

Navigating the legal world of courtrooms and criminal proceedings can be daunting for individuals who have been accused of illegal activity. As a result, they may wish to consider what assistance they may be able to utilize. By gaining more knowledge on the situation and the meanings behind the allegations with which they have been charged, parties facing DUI charges may be able to proceed more confidently.

One Minnesota man may be hoping to take such steps after being taken into custody. It was reported that the man was operating a motorcycle that was also carrying a female passenger when the motorcycle reportedly crashed. The man allegedly got back on the motorcycle and drove away from the scene, purportedly leaving his passenger behind.

Authorities stated that the man traveled north in southbound lanes, but he returned to the correct lanes of travel before he was stopped by police. The man was reportedly injured and was not wearing shoes. His passenger was purportedly located approximately 45 minutes after the man was stopped by police. She was also injured.

Authorities believed the man to have been under the influence at the time of the incident. It was not reported whether any chemical tests were administered to determine any alleged intoxication. It was not noted whether the man had been formally charged at the time of the report.

As the man’s situation moves forward, he may want to gather as much information about his case as possible. DUI charges could result in various outcomes depending on the specific circumstances, and the man may want to determine how his situation may affect the case. Information on Minnesota criminal proceedings relating to DUI may also prove beneficial.
