Sexual assault accusation leveled against Minnesota man

When an individual is suspected of alleged criminal activity, preparing for the repercussions of the allegations could prove beneficial. Parties who have been accused of sexual assault may want to look into criminal defense options and what courses of action may have the potential to be meaningful and effective. Because each case has its own set of circumstances, the options available may vary from case to case.

One man in Minnesota may be exploring his possible legal avenues after recently being taken into custody. It was reported that the man's daughter was apparently having a sleepover with a 16-year-old friend. The man allegedly got the girl to come into his bedroom where he purportedly pushed her onto a bed. The girl was able to leave the bedroom and reportedly told a friend about the alleged event.

Authorities were apparently alerted to the situation, and the man -- who was reported as being 34 years old -- was taken into custody after he was located in a neighboring home. He is currently facing two separate charges related to criminal sexual conduct. It was unclear whether any evidence supporting the girl's claim was uncovered.

Nonetheless, the man will likely wish to create and present a meaningful defense against the sexual assault accusations. Information on Minnesota criminal proceedings relating to his case may help him gain a clearer perspective on what he may encounter during the legal process. Furthermore, consulting with his legal counsel may help him better understand what strategies may work in his best interest as his case moves forward.
