On Behalf of | Jun 3, 2016 | Violent Crimes, Violent Crimes

Figuring out the best way to approach a situation can depend heavily on the circumstances of the issue. For individuals accused of gun crime, determining the manner in which they would like to address charges may not always be easy. As a result, they may wish to assess their case in order to better understand which legal paths may work in their best interests.

One woman may be exploring her options after recently being arrested in Minnesota. Reports stated that the woman had allegedly used a gun to shoot out the window of a parked car. The car was parked at an elementary school and apparently belonged to a custodian who worked at the school. The custodian reportedly found the woman in his vehicle and called authorities.

Police suspected that the woman fired the weapon in order to get into the vehicle in an attempt to steal it. As a result of the situation, she was taken into custody and is currently facing multiple charges. Among the pending allegations are reckless discharge of a firearm, criminal property damage and felony firearm possession.

It is likely that the woman will want to work toward the best outcome possible for her case. As a result, she may wish to become more knowledgeable on Minnesota legal proceedings and the gun crime allegations that may be brought against her. If formal charges are filed, she may want to confer with an experienced defense attorney who may be able to offer valuable insight into her legal options as well as other aspects of her criminal case.
