A man whose passenger was killed in a car accident is facing drunk driving charges, according to local police. The Nov. 22 crash has led to a DUI charge for the driver, who allegedly admitted to being drunk behind the wheel when the crash occurred. His passenger was killed in the crash, and several other people were injured. He was due to appear in a Minnesota court for the first time on Dec. 10.
Many individuals across Minnesota have enjoyed dinner and drinks with friends or coworkers. It's possible that anyone in such social situations could get behind the wheel following an event without realizing that blood alcohol content is above legal limits. Even so, when faced with police trying to pull them over, many people panic and attempt to flee to avoid possible drunk driving charges.
