Man charged with DUI, other allegations after Minnesota chase

On Behalf of | Jun 11, 2015 | Drunk Driving

Many individuals may experience anxiety and stress when faced with a complicated situation. For many parties, having to deal with criminal charges can be complicated. If individuals do not have considerable knowledge on how to handle their circumstances, they may worry that they will make the wrong choices. However, parties facing DUI and other charges should have the ability to learn more about their cases.

One man in Minnesota may be hoping to see his situation more clearly after he was charged with multiple allegations. It was reported that the situation began when authorities responded to a call regarding allegations of threats. Upon arriving at the scene, however, they were not able to locate any involved individuals right away. After seeing a vehicle reportedly speeding from the area, officers began a pursuit.

The vehicle being pursued traveled for approximately seven miles before stopping. Authorities located a male driver and a child in the backseat. The driver was taken into custody for reckless driving, child endangerment, DUI and another charge. The child was given to another family member after the man was taken into custody. It was also noted that the driver apparently was the subject of a separate felony warrant for his arrest.

The DUI and other allegations that the man faces could lead to the man feeling overwhelmed as his legal situation proceeds through the Minnesota criminal justice system. Confusion and stress may cause him to be uncertain about the decisions that need to made. Luckily, the man should be able to explore his options and discuss his situation with a criminal defense attorney experienced in handling these types of proceedings.
