Minnesota man allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine

It was recently reported that one man in Minnesota is facing serious charges after being involved in an accident earlier this year. Reports stated that the man was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine while he was driving. The man was reportedly traveling west when he failed to remain in the correct lane and crashed into a school bus.

At the time of the incident, the bus was carrying the driver, two other adults and 11 children. None of the individuals on the bus were seriously injured. A passenger in the man's vehicle, however, suffered a serious injury to her head. She was transported from the scene by helicopter to an area hospital for treatment. She was reported as being 28 years old.

The driver of the car was questioned by a police officer after the incident. Reportedly, the man was not able to name his passenger, and he allegedly stated that he did not know why he failed to stay in his lane. Authorities took a blood sample which allegedly tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine. As a result, the man was recently charged with criminal vehicular operation and second-degree DWI.

Due to the allegations of driving while under the influence of methamphetamine and other charges that have been brought against the man, he will likely want to consider his criminal defense options. Information on Minnesota criminal proceedings relating to his case may help him determine which strategies could suit his interests. Furthermore, discussing his case with his legal counsel may help him better understand his predicament.
