Underage Minnesota man charged with DUI

On Behalf of | Dec 1, 2015 | Drunk Driving

Handling criminal charges may be difficult for those who are not knowledgeable concerning legal proceedings and related information. Individuals who have been charged with DUI or similar allegations may want to consider seeking assistance. One man in Minnesota may be looking to take such action after recently being taken into custody.

It was reported that the 20-year-old man had allegedly been driving a vehicle when he was involved in a single-car accident. Officers arrived at the scene after being alerted to the crash. They say they found the vehicle, but the driver was no longer at the scene. A purported witness apparently told police that the driver of the vehicle had been speeding before overturning and that the driver came to her house to ask to use her phone. He apparently left after the witness said she was calling the authorities.

Another individual apparently provided an identification of the driver. The woman indicated that the driver was in a relationship with her daughter. He had allegedly come to the woman’s house multiple times and in different vehicles within a period of a few hours. The suspect’s own mother apparently contacted the police as well and provided his location, and he was taken into custody. He is currently facing charges for DUI, careless driving and other allegations.

The man will undoubtedly benefit by considering how to move forward in court in an appropriate manner. He may wish to find out how his case may be affected by the fact that he is apparently under the legal drinking age as well as gather information on DUI charges and other relevant topics. By consulting with his chosen legal counsel, he can gain a better idea of what to expect as his case moves through Minnesota criminal justice system.
