On Behalf of | Apr 22, 2016 | Drug Charges

Facing criminal charges is considered a serious situation by most individuals. As a result, when a person is accused of being involved in illegal activity, he or she will likely want to look for the best options for handling the predicament. One man in Minnesota may be hoping to find the legal route best suited for him after recently being taken into custody on charges relating to methamphetamine.

Reports stated that the man had been under investigation for months by a police task force working on uncovering methamphetamine distributors. Allegedly, authorities spoke with individuals involved in the drug distribution, and the man was purportedly identified as a supplier. The man was reportedly in his home when police came to search and subsequently arrested him.

Authorities allegedly discovered over a pound of meth and approximately $9,000 in cash. They also say they found zip-lock baggies that had contained the drug at one point. As a result, the man was taken into custody and is currently facing charges for possession of a controlled substance. It was also noted that he may face other charges in a different county.

Charges for methamphetamine possession are no laughing matter, and the man is likely considering his case with the utmost care. If he hopes to combat the allegations brought against him, he may wish to look into his options for creating and presenting a meaningful defense. Information on such options and other legal strategies as well as on Minnesota court proceedings may help him feel more confident in making the decisions he faces.
